About the Foodie: Andrea Carr
Hello Food Lovers! My name is Andrea Carr and I LOVE spontaneous encounters of the delicious kind. My passion for food stems from a lifelong education in home cooking from great-grandmas, grandmas, mom, dad, aunts and uncles.
Currently, I am the VP of Marketing and Public Relations for Rastelli Direct; managing social media, marketing strategy and public relations campaigns! Working in the food industry gives me a lot of freedom to experiment in the kitchen.
Having spent time as both a personal chef and small events caterer, I LOVE to share recipes and food experiences with family, friends and strangers over the internet (obviously). Combining a passion for food with a need to be nerdy, I found the perfect fit in food blogging!
Favorite Meal: Miso Glazed Scottish Salmon with Brown Rice and Snap Peas.
Under-rated Ingredients: Star Anise and Cinnamon (adds smoky/sweet flavor to savory dishes), Dill (bright and unexpected punch), Tarragon, Soy Milk (its SOy healthy for you), Flat Iron Steak (inexpensive and delish!)
Favorite Dining In Event: Thanksgiving Dinner with all the southern style fixin’s! My recent project has been creating healthier adaptations of my Grandma’s Macaroni & Cheese.
