Healthy Steak & Beef Recipes

When people are looking to get healthy, one of the first things they do is drop their intake of red meat. While red meat should be eaten in moderation, the right steak can provide many health benefits that will fuel the body and keep you strong.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a 3oz serving of lean beef contains less than 10% of the daily recommended caloric intake, while providing significant amounts of essential nutrients.

Beef is the #1 food source for Protein (essential to building lean muscle), B-Complex Vitamins (allows the release of energy from food) and Zinc (helps strengthen your immune system). It is also the #3 food source for Iron (prevents fatigue by carrying oxygen in the blood to cells and muscles).

Whether you are looking for All Natural, Organic, Free Range, Source Verified or Locally Grown, there are many healthy steak and beef options available. The trick is to maintain their benefits with a healthy recipe that won’t add unecessary fat or calories.
