RD Fit Challenge 4

This week your challenge is to Track Your Savings. Now that you have begun to COOK AT HOME, you may have noticed a few extra dollars in your pocket. When you think about saving time, gas and calories by making food at home, the savings can really start to add up.

So many people use the excuse that healthy food is expensive. However, when you really track it, the money that you aren’t spending at the restaurant on food markups, drinks and tips, can go to your new healthier at home menu.

CHALLENGE: Planning ahead and knowing what your weekly food intake will be can really help you save. By the end of the 90 day challenge, you should have more money to purchase clothes for your new body!

RD Fit: Week 4 – - What to Do?

Track Your Savings

Take a look at a normal week of food spending. How much did you spend at the grocery store, convenience store, dining out or even the snack machine?

Now, compare that to your spending during last week’s COOK AT HOME challenge. Make sure to include the cost of your Rastelli meats and seafood (cost per piece available online) for the whole week.

Did planning ahead help you save? RD Fit should help keep your body and your wallet healthy!

Next, see how much you can save this month (multiply your number by 4) or this year (multiply your number by 52) and say hello to your new healthy foods, recreation, clothing or travel budget!

RD Fit: Week 4 – - Where are you?

Let’s see where you are in the RD Fit: Lifestyle Challenge program.

During week 4, you should be pretty into the swing of things! Start to think about how you will maintain your new Fit Lifestyle – from healthy eating and regular workouts to taking control of your food budget.

This is a good week to track your overall progress as well. In addition to weighing in, take your measurements. Its not just about weight loss or gain, its about how you look in your clothes, how you feel and your overall health and happiness in the program.
